Mechi Eye Hospital is a community-based eye hospital situated at Sainikmode, Birtamode, Jhapa, Nepal. Mechi Eye Hospital has accomplished the promotion and strengthening of equitable, accessible, affordable, inclusive and quality eye health care service to the community of eastern Nepal. It has established on 15 November 1996.
This hospital is becoming the well-established ophthalmology centre in Eastern Nepal that it is today. For the last twenty-three years, Eyecare foundation has been working together with Mechi Eye Hospital continuously, to bring this hospital to its current leading position in the region. Patient of eastern Nepal as well as from near Siliguri, Jogbani, other places of India as well as from Bangladesh also patient came to receive eye care services.
